FastSave is an Android app that allows users to download videos and photos to their mobile devices. It works especially well for Instagram, and it can also be used with Facebook, Twitter, Vimeo, and DailyMotion. There is even limited support for downloading from websites, but the feature is known to not work correctly at times.

Getting Started

After launching FastSave for the first time, you'll be taken through a brief tour of the interface in order to familiarize yourself with its core features. Once the tutorial has been completed, you will then have the freedom to start using the app how you see fit. When you see something you want to download, simply tap your finger on the media and select "Download."

After you download a video or photo, the file will be stored in your device storage where it can be accessed at any time. If you prefer to view your saved media files from the app, you have that option as well.

It's important to note that the app itself operates much like a web browser. In other words, you must browse to the media you want to download within FastSave in order to capture and download it. For example, if you want to save a video that you saw on Facebook, you must log into your Facebook account via the FastSave browser and navigate to the media. If you are trying to download media from a website that is not a social network, there is a chance FastSave won't recognize or detect any media on the page.

A Useful Media Downloader

At its core, FastSave is a handy app for downloading media on the fly. The tool is compatible with most social networking websites, so you won't find much trouble with downloading media from Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, or other sites. The app downloads at a reasonable rate, meaning you won't be waiting around for files to download to your device. As a final thought, some users might not be comfortable with the idea of logging into their social networking accounts via the FastSave browser, so FastSave might not be the ideal solution for downloading media.
